Leicester City set to hijack Iheanacho deal

Leicester City have surprisingly jumped in front in the race to sign Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho, latest reports from England suggest.
Iheanacho has continually been linked with a summer exit from Manchester City but his destination is far from decided with different clubs popping up by the day.

As reported in Leicester Mercury, the Foxes have become the new favourites to sign City's Iheanacho after bookmakers dramatically reduced the odds on the young star moving to the King Power Stadium.
The odds on the Nigerian striker joining City have been cut from 16/1 to just 4/6 on by bookmakers Bet Victor on after money went on Leicester being his next club at the end of this transfer window.
Iheanacho is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium in a deal worth around £20million this summer despite expressing a wish to stay.

The 20-year-old found himself down the pecking order at Manchester City once Gabriel Jesus arrived and plans to sign another striker for next season would relegate him further in manager Pep Guardiola's plans.

It is understood that the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and even teams outside of England in the mould of Dortmund and PSG all want to sign on the Nigeria international.

Source: FIFA.com Diego Godin has revealed he cannot stop thinking about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and expressed his desire to become the first Uruguayan in 68 years to lift the Trophy. Jules Rimet handed it to Obdulio Varela – albeit in bizarre circumstances – at the Maracana in 1950, and though  La Celeste reached the semi-finals on three occasions thereafter, they have never gone further, losing to Hungary in 1954, Brazil in 1970, and the Netherlands in 2010. Eight teams have shorter odds of winning Russia 2018 than Uruguay, but that does not stop the Atletico Madrid centre-back from dreaming big. “There isn’t a day goes by that I stop thinking about the World Cup,” Godin told  Radio Rincón . “I dream of lifting the Trophy – of course, I do. “We qualified for the World Cup well. The important thing is that no-one gets injured, that everyone is right physically.”Godin believes the secret to Uruguay’s prosperity under Oscar Tabarez – t...
