Crystal Palace are ready to back new boss Frank De Boer with a move for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Eagles are poised to confirm the former Ajax boss, 47, within days as Sam Allardyce’s replacement.
They are also ready to rival West Ham and Leicester in the race to sign the 20-year-old rising star currently not wanted by Pep Guardiola.
City, targeting a number of top-line stars in this summer’s transfer window, will insert a buy-back option into any deal in order to ensure they do not regret allowing him to leave should he fulfil his potential elsewhere.Palace are looking to boost their options up front next season despite a productive end for the season for Christian Benteke, who netted six times in his final ten games.
The Belgian ended the season with 20 goals for club and country following his £27million move from Liverpool last August.
De Boer is also interested in a reunion with 25-year-old Ajax defender Joel Veltman, whose contract has just 12 months left to run.
The versatile defender, who came through the Dutch giants’ youth system, is able to play at centre-back and right-back and has also attracted the attention of Spurs.
