Swansea City FC transfer news: Netherlands international Luciano Narsingh completes £4million move to club

Source Talksport.com
Swansea have completed the signing of winger Luciano Narsingh from PSV Eindhoven for £4million.
The 26-year-old becomes Paul Clement's first signing at Swansea, having been a target for former manager Bob Bradley.
Narsingh has 16 caps for the Netherlands and made close to 150 appearances for Eredivisie outfit PSV, scoring 24 goals.
He has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Premier League club
“I’ve looked at the Premier League for two or three years now, and Swansea always play good football," said Narsingh.
“That’s why when Swansea came in for me I knew I wanted to play here.
“This is the best league, and with Swansea playing good football I knew it was a good club for me.
“I’m 26 now and it’s a good age to come to the Premier League. I won two titles in Holland, so it is a great time to come here.”
Swansea fans, however, will have to wait to see Narsingh, as a calf problem rules him out of Saturday's home game against Arsenal.
Clement, meanwhile, has confirmed that Swansea are in talks to sign Norwich defender Martin Olsson and Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll during the January transfer window.

Godin: I dream of lifting the cup

Source: FIFA.com Diego Godin has revealed he cannot stop thinking about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and expressed his desire to become the first Uruguayan in 68 years to lift the Trophy. Jules Rimet handed it to Obdulio Varela – albeit in bizarre circumstances – at the Maracana in 1950, and though  La Celeste reached the semi-finals on three occasions thereafter, they have never gone further, losing to Hungary in 1954, Brazil in 1970, and the Netherlands in 2010. Eight teams have shorter odds of winning Russia 2018 than Uruguay, but that does not stop the Atletico Madrid centre-back from dreaming big. “There isn’t a day goes by that I stop thinking about the World Cup,” Godin told  Radio Rincón . “I dream of lifting the Trophy – of course, I do. “We qualified for the World Cup well. The important thing is that no-one gets injured, that everyone is right physically.”Godin believes the secret to Uruguay’s prosperity under Oscar Tabarez – t...
