Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr will serve as a TV pundit during the AFCON, a report has claimed.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will work as a pundit during the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon this month, according to reports.
The Franco-German confirmed late last year he will be in Gabon for the AFCON, but it was believed the reason was to watch Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifying group opponents, Algeria and Cameroon.
However, it has now emerged he will also work as a television pundit for a French TV station while in Gabon for the AFCON.
“Rohr will be a pundit for a French television network at the AFCON in Gabon,” AfricanFootball.com quoted a source.
Rohr has had a good start to life as Nigeria coach, winning all three games he has played and the Super Eagles currently sit atop their World Cup qualifying group after two wins from two.
However, they will not be at the AFCON after they lost out to Egypt in the race to qualify to the showpiece event.
The competition will kick off on January 14, with Ivory Coast as champions having won the last edition in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.

Godin: I dream of lifting the cup

Source: FIFA.com Diego Godin has revealed he cannot stop thinking about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and expressed his desire to become the first Uruguayan in 68 years to lift the Trophy. Jules Rimet handed it to Obdulio Varela – albeit in bizarre circumstances – at the Maracana in 1950, and though  La Celeste reached the semi-finals on three occasions thereafter, they have never gone further, losing to Hungary in 1954, Brazil in 1970, and the Netherlands in 2010. Eight teams have shorter odds of winning Russia 2018 than Uruguay, but that does not stop the Atletico Madrid centre-back from dreaming big. “There isn’t a day goes by that I stop thinking about the World Cup,” Godin told  Radio Rincón . “I dream of lifting the Trophy – of course, I do. “We qualified for the World Cup well. The important thing is that no-one gets injured, that everyone is right physically.”Godin believes the secret to Uruguay’s prosperity under Oscar Tabarez – t...
