The Atletico Madrid star reportedly wants to leave the club and a number of Premier League clubs, including Pep Guardiola's side, are in the running to sign him.
Manchester City reportedly is preparing to launch a 70 million pound ($88M) bid for Antoine Griezmann — and spark a major transfer battle with rival Manchester United.
According to The Sunday Mirror, City is willing to break the bank for the forward, who is believed to be keen on a move away from Atletico Madrid next summer.
The club will face competition from United, which reportedly sees the 25-year-old as a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney. Chelsea also is believed to be monitoring his situation.
The French star, who has scored 50 La Liga goals for Atletico, has a contract running until 2021.
