FALCONETS COACH LAYS ALLEGATION

Florence Omagbemi Super Falcons Coach
The Head Coach of the Nigeria national women team, Florence Omagbemi has expressed reservations at a supposed wrong call made by the referee in Wednesday’s game against Ghana’s Black Queens.

According to Omagbemi, Nigeria was denied a valid shout for penalty when goals’ machine Asisat Oshoala was brought down in Ghana box.
“The foul on Asisat Oshoala was a clear penalty in my own assessment. I was disappointed in the referee not making the call.” The Nigeria coach stated.
In the long run, Nigeria settled for a 1-1 draw with Ghana in one of the group phase matches of the ongoing 10th Women Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon on Wednesday.
The Falcons drew the first blood when Asisat Oshoala scored her fifth of the tournament in the 19th minute at the Stade Omnisports Limbe, but the Nigerians were somewhat too anxious in front of goal and missed several chances.
Ghana drew level two minutes before recess when Ugo Njoku committed a foul in the box and Elizabeth Addo made no mistake from the spot.
The Falcons will next face Kenya as they go all out to seal their place in the semi finals.

Godin: I dream of lifting the cup

Source: FIFA.com Diego Godin has revealed he cannot stop thinking about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and expressed his desire to become the first Uruguayan in 68 years to lift the Trophy. Jules Rimet handed it to Obdulio Varela – albeit in bizarre circumstances – at the Maracana in 1950, and though  La Celeste reached the semi-finals on three occasions thereafter, they have never gone further, losing to Hungary in 1954, Brazil in 1970, and the Netherlands in 2010. Eight teams have shorter odds of winning Russia 2018 than Uruguay, but that does not stop the Atletico Madrid centre-back from dreaming big. “There isn’t a day goes by that I stop thinking about the World Cup,” Godin told  Radio Rincón . “I dream of lifting the Trophy – of course, I do. “We qualified for the World Cup well. The important thing is that no-one gets injured, that everyone is right physically.”Godin believes the secret to Uruguay’s prosperity under Oscar Tabarez – t...
