Spanish club Atletico Madrid are reportedly on the verge of signing Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
Ezenwa before now was linked with another Spanish outfit, Segunda club Cadiz but a report on All Nigeria Soccer suggest that Atletico have pulled a fast one to sign the FC Ifeanyi Ubah shot stopper.
Among other things, it was reported that Cadiz could not meet the asking price of FCIU as well as personal terms for Ezenwa hence the decision to listen to other offers.
Ezenwa no doubt is one of the best goalkeepers in the Nigeria Professional Football League and a move to Spain will be a welcomed development for the 27-year old who is now a regular feature in Super Eagles programmes even though he is behind in the pecking order to Carl Ikeme.
