The two teams will have to make changes from their meeting almost a fortnight ago, when the Catalans ran out 4-0 winners thanks to Lionel Messi's hat trick.
Sergio Aguero is expected to return to the Manchester City starting lineup for the game against Barcelona on Tuesday.
Aguero was left on the bench at Camp Nou a fortnight ago as Pep Guardiola went with Kevin De Bruyne up front.
But Aguero's two goals — and overall performance — at West Brom on Saturday have persuaded Guardiola to include him for this match.
City will not use a back three against Barca, but it is unclear exactly who will start in defense.
Fernando played at right back on Saturday but only because of injuries to Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna, and because Guardiola deemed West Brom too strong for 19-year-old Maffeo. The youngster could well deputize against Barca, however, although Zabaleta trained on Tuesday.
In midfield, De Bruyne may have to play out wide to accommodate Ilkay Gundogan and David Silva in the middle.
Willy Caballero will play in goal due to Claudio Bravo's suspension.
Barcelona will be able to call upon Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi, but it does have a few injury concerns.
Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba are out injured, meaning there will be stand-ins in midfield and defense.
Denis Suarez, Rafinha and Arda Turan will vie for the midfield spot alongside Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets, who was rested at the weekend.
Samuel Umtiti is likely to replace Pique and will line up next to Javier Mascherano at center back, with Lucas Digne filling in at left back.
