Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has described Nigeria as an underdog ahead of the 2016 Women’s African Cup of Nations
Nigeria have been placed in Group B with Ghana, Mali and Kenya in Sunday's draw which held in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Nine times winners are going into the tournament as defending champions, but Oshoala thinks they will be the underdogs this time because of the state of the team.
"We are currently rebuilding a new team under a new coach and I believe we're more like the underdogs going into the tournament, which makes us freer to express ourselves on the pitch," Oshoala said in an interview with Complete Sports.
"The coach is gradually instilling her ideas on the team and I'm confident we will not disappoint."
Florence Omagbemi who was appointed as Chief Coach of the Super Falcons is currently in camp with players.
