Conte bans Chelsea stars from looking at the table

Antonio Conte's Chelsea have been in good form lately.
Antonio Conte has banned his Chelsea stars from talking about winning the Premier League until after Christmas following their2-0 win over Southampton on Sunday.

The Blues continued their impressive Premier League run as goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa saw them stay within a point of the leaders after 10 games.
And speaking after the game, Conte said: “At this moment, it’s not important for us to look at the table. We are in a good position, but it’s not important.
“We know that the road is long. I have confidence because we can improve. We can improve a lot. Not look at the table.
“But, if you ask me a prediction or an expectation of our championship, now it’s very difficult to talk about this.
“It’s important to pass many games in the first part of this season. And then you can see if you can stay up there in the title race.
“We are not looking at the table, but continuing just to work. You can judge us in the second part of the season. During January.”
It is remarkable to see how good they have gotten after they flirted with relegation last season in what was a disastrous title defence which saw Jose Mourinho fired last December, before finishing 10th.

Godin: I dream of lifting the cup

Source: FIFA.com Diego Godin has revealed he cannot stop thinking about the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and expressed his desire to become the first Uruguayan in 68 years to lift the Trophy. Jules Rimet handed it to Obdulio Varela – albeit in bizarre circumstances – at the Maracana in 1950, and though  La Celeste reached the semi-finals on three occasions thereafter, they have never gone further, losing to Hungary in 1954, Brazil in 1970, and the Netherlands in 2010. Eight teams have shorter odds of winning Russia 2018 than Uruguay, but that does not stop the Atletico Madrid centre-back from dreaming big. “There isn’t a day goes by that I stop thinking about the World Cup,” Godin told  Radio Rincón . “I dream of lifting the Trophy – of course, I do. “We qualified for the World Cup well. The important thing is that no-one gets injured, that everyone is right physically.”Godin believes the secret to Uruguay’s prosperity under Oscar Tabarez – t...
